Ruth Weber has served as Artistic Director/Conductor for the San Diego Jewish Men's Choir for 16 years. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San Diego State University and a Master of Music degree from California State University, Northridge. In addition to her work with the SDJMC, she is a member of the music faculty at Palomar College and S.D. Miramar College in the San Diego area, and director of the several other local choirs.
Ms. Weber is an award-winning composer, receiving recognition in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Grand Prize), the International Songwriting Competition, the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (GrandPrize), the Global Music Awards, the New York Pro/Am songwriting competition, a Parent's Choice Award and Jewish American Songwriting Competition. Her music has been used as core curriculum in the local school district, appeared in film and print music, and been performed recorded by artists, choirs, and symphonies in the U.S. and abroad.
Ms. Weber is a highly regarded pianist/accompanist who has worked as a recording artist for the Marantz company, concertized throughout the world with international opera singers, and played for such prestigious groups as the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute, the San Fernando Valley Men's Chorus and Opera Aguascalientes.
